Applicants submit a short original essay explaining why art is important in their life. One (1) piece of work which demonstrates their artistic interest may also be submitted. The winner will be announced at the ALTA annual conference and will receive a $250 scholarship towards art lessons of their choice during the following summer. Joan Hogge, an ALTA member, has graciously provided funding for this scholarship. In addition to the I Believe in Myself scholarship, Ms. Hogge will donate 5% of all proceeds from her web site to the ALTAFoundation Scholarship Fund.
